The Gun (starring Nijiro Murakami) was released in 2018 as a film adaptation of writer Fuminori Nakamura's debut work The Gun (Kawade Shobo Shinsha Publishers). Conceived and produced by Kazuyoshi Okuyama, who also produced The Gun, the film The Gun 2020 is an original work based on Fuminori Nakamura's original idea, and is the first time Nakamura himself has written a screenplay for the film. Like The Gun, Okuyama planned and produced the film, and Masaharu Take, the lead director of The Naked Director, directed the film and handled the screenplay.
All of the characters are full of madness. The cast members who play these characters are all actors with outstanding acting skills and abundantly unique personalities.

Koichi Sato plays the role of a mysterious man whom Toko meets as a result of a connection with the gun.
Masaya Kato plays Tomita, a stalker who obsessively pursues Toko.
