The number of children in their teens and 20s who do not recognize novels, movies, and music as conventional ways of expression is increasing among the younger generation.
Comedy is no different. There is a lot to learn about composition, word choice, pauses, movement and more.
Therefore, this project sheds light on manzai as a uniquely Japanese pop genre that has evolved to an extreme degree and has not yet made its way overseas.
This manzai workshop features manzai artists selected by iU President Ichiya Nakamura as those he would like to share with young audiences.
