This film tells the true story of the Honnoji Incident, the greatest mystery in history, but with a new setting in which Nobunaga Oda died beforehand. Viewers were moved by the new telling of the Honnoji Incident, saying, "I wish the historical facts were like this," and "This is the most romantic telling of the Honnoji Incident in history." This film also features new scenes written for the movie.
